Our Charity Donations this year are to Greyhound Awareness League and the Glasgow Dogs Trust. Over the past year we have been fundraising for the purchase of a Summer House for the Dogs Trust, where Carers can relax with the dogs out-with the kennel environment. We achieved this and on 23 October presented them with a cheque for £1,000.

In April this year we had a “chuck it in the bucket” for National Pet Month which raised over £100 for various animal charities.

Our Agility Course at the Vet School Rodeo and raised a good sum of money to be split between the Small Animal Clinic Fund, Boxer Welfare and Greyhound Awareness League.

In June we took part in Cascade’s Fun Day in Rouken Glen Park. Approximately £300 was raised for the Dogs Trust.

Also this month we held an advanced competition. This was won by Donna with Indi, second was Jeanette with Joy and third was Lorraine with Diesel. They all received a silver quaich.

At the end of June, we had our usual professional photographers along to the Club for “end of term” photographs. This proved to be extremely successful with every dog posing perfectly for its picture

In September, the Club took part in a sponsored walk in Queens Park for Canine Concern (Scotland) Trust who organise the Therapet Scheme. Approximately £900 was raised Thanks to all who took part and donated money to this very worthwhile cause.

Creature Comforts celebrated their 10th Anniversary in November and we joined in with an Agility/Dogstacle course and a quiz. All monies raised being split between the Dogs Trust and SSPCA

Our Workshops have proved extremely successful and so far we have held two Tellington Touch Workshops, Heelwork to Music and Basic Dog First Aid. If anyone has any other suggestions, please speak to Val.
